ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates ― Step into an automotive manufacturing plant in the United Arab Emirates and vehicles are rolling down the production line with wire harnesses, side rails, and handles as the paint booth illuminates one end. While the plant operates like a commercial factory, military vehicles are in the works instead.
Jane’s was recently given access to NIMR’s 37,500sqm vehicle manufacturing facility at Tawazun Industrial Park, outside Abu Dhabi.

NIMR Automotive Celebrates the Completion of its 1,000th Vehicle
NIMR Automotive announces plans to break into the European market through a collaboration with Czech manufacturer VOP CZ.
Ownership of NIMR is transferred from Tawazun to EDIC.
In December 2014, the Government of the UAE announces the creation of the Emirates Defence Industries Company, an integrated national defence manufacturing and services platform jointly owned by Mubalada Development Company and Tawazun Holdings.
NIMR holds a ground-breaking ceremony for its new integrated production facility at the Tawazun Industrial Park. The facility, which has a built-up area of 37,500 square meters and a test track, significantly enhances NIMR’s production capabilities.
